Kottammathalli Jatara

Kottammathalli Jatara is one of the most significant religious and cultural festivals celebrated in Kotabommali Mandal of Srikakulam District, Andhra Pradesh. The festival is dedicated to Sri Kottammathalli Ammavaru, the revered village guardian deity (Gramadevata), who is worshipped as the protector of the people, crops, health, and prosperity. Every year, thousands of devotees from Srikakulam, nearby districts, and neighboring Odisha visit the temple to seek the blessings of the Goddess. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has also recognized it as a State Festival due to its cultural and spiritual importance.
