Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu announced that the proposed Palasa Airport in Srikakulam district would be developed under the central government’s UDAN scheme. A high-level meeting was conducted with public representatives, government officials, farmers and local villagers to discuss the project.The minister clarified that the airport would remain under government control and be funded by the Airports Authority of India.
