Government General Hospital, Srikakulam, invited sealed tenders from eligible firms and authorised dealers. The tender notice was published on the official Srikakulam district website on July 9, 2026. The hospital plans to procure computers, laptops and tablet computers through the tender process. Interested suppliers must obtain and complete the prescribed tender documents. The cost of the tender document has been fixed at ₹2,000.

The Srikakulam district administration released a recruitment notification under the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme. The notification was officially published on July 9, 2026. Applications were invited for posts to be filled on a contractual or outsourcing basis. One vacancy was announced for the position of Data Manager. The recruitment also includes one Data Entry Operator position and one Laboratory Attendant position. Eligible candidates can submit their applications from July 9 to July 18, 2026.

Srikakulam District Collector Swapnil Dinakar Pundkar and Joint Collector Farman Ahmed Khan received 180 petitions during a Public Grievance Redressal System programme. The programme was conducted at the Zilla Parishad meeting hall for residents from different parts of the district.Officials stated that resolving public problems would be given high priority. Revenue-related matters accounted for the highest number, with 66 petitions submitted during the programme.

Sidiri Aarav Varma, the son of former Andhra Pradesh minister Sidiri Appalaraju, surrendered to the police in connection with a fatal road accident. The accident occurred near Kasibugga in the Palasa-Kasibugga area on the night of July 10, 2026. A 45-year-old shepherd named Dhanayya died after allegedly being struck by a motorcycle. Initially, another young man surrendered and claimed responsibility for the accident.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu announced that the proposed Palasa Airport in Srikakulam district would be developed under the central government’s UDAN scheme. A high-level meeting was conducted with public representatives, government officials, farmers and local villagers to discuss the project.The minister clarified that the airport would remain under government control and be funded by the Airports Authority of India.
