Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu announced plans to develop Srikakulam into a modern and well-planned city. He laid the foundation for park-development works estimated at around ₹2 crore. The initiative is expected to improve public spaces, greenery and recreational facilities. The minister said further infrastructure projects would be undertaken for the city’s development. He added that better roads, sanitation and civic amenities would be given priority. The proposed development works are expected to improve residents’ quality of life and enhance the city’s overall appearance.
